As an ontologist for Reclassify AI, you will partner with client groups to design and deploy sophisticated semantic data models with the goal towards improving data discoverability, search, and product development.

Requirements

  • Work with SMEs to elicit requirements and develop logical models

  • Build semantically rich and extensible ontologies

  • Develop and optimize SPARQL queries

  • Contribute to data integration and mapping efforts to harmonize data with customer ontologies

  • Contribute to ontology modeling and technology best practices and principles within our organization and with our clients

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support development and integration efforts

  • Analyze and implement knowledge organization strategies using tools capable of ontology management and semantic enrichment

  • Maintain awareness of industry developments related to ontology use, knowledge organization, data modeling, and machine learning

  • Understand and adhere to W3C standards related to ontologies, in particular RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, and SHACL

  • Manage and oversee projects as assigned


Our ideal candidate has...

  • 5-7 years designing and managing ontologies, taxonomies, or thesauri

  • At least 3 years experience or training in using W3C standards including linked and canonical data and ontologies ( JSON, XML, RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SKOS)

  • At least 3 years' experience or training in ontology and linked data tools (Protégé, TopQuadrant, PoolParty, Stardog, AnzoGraph, Neptune, etc)

  • At least 3 years' experience or training with SQL or SPARQL

  • Knowledge of open-source and commercial ontology engineering editors (e.g. Protege, TopQuadrant products, PoolParty)

  • Experience with the deployment of knowledge graph technology solutions

  • BA or BS degree in a related field
