Do I have to choose an AI model?
No. Tetherless picks the right model and size for your computer's available storage during install — there's nothing to download separately or configure.
Is there a limit on how much I can use?
No. Tetherless Mini runs the model locally, so you get unlimited tokens — no per-message caps and no metered billing.
What about Max, Windows, and Linux?
Max is coming soon for heavier workloads. Windows and Linux builds are in development. Mac is available today.
Does my data train a public model?
No. Files and prompts stay on your computer unless you explicitly send Feedback or optional app health.
Can I use this in a regulated firm?
Mini is local-first and its only call is a license check. You still follow your firm's own software policy; we never receive your working files.
